As a hospice providing end of life care to patients, we are all too familiar with how difficult the prospect of saying goodbye to a loved one can be for family members. As such, we offer a whole host of hospice bereavement services to the family and friends of our patients to make the process of grief more manageable.
Grief can affect different people in different ways, and we also understand that people need different types of support depending on how they cope. We offer counselling sessions in both group and one on one settings to ensure that family members are comfortable with the approach. Others process their feelings of grief through more expressive practices, which is why we also offer music therapy for both children and adults, as well as play therapy for children. For young people working through grief, we also provide support through GEMs.
At ellenor, our main goal is to offer a variety of bereavement support options to help the loved ones of our patients process their grief and ensure they have a hand to hold during a very difficult time.
