Children’s Hospice Week is the only week in the year dedicated to raising awareness and funds for children’s hospice and palliative care services across the UK, and the seriously ill children and young people they support.
Here at ellenor, we care for children from the moment they are first diagnosed, across the whole trajectory of the disease. Providing palliative care early on and in a holistic manner means better outcomes for both the child and their families, says the Children’s Team.

Our current play therapy programme is always looking for new ways to revitalise its work. Together with Strangeface Theatre, we facilitated a workshop for children aged between four and 16, to create puppets, many of which became a representation of a person the child had lost.
