Experience the stunning beauty of our coastal trail while supporting a great cause. Whether you’re looking for a challenge or a leisurely stroll, we have the perfect route for you. Following the King Charles III England Coast Path starting at Eastbourne Pier and finishing at Hastings Pier. This section of the England Coast Path takes you through some of the finest landscapes in England.
👟 Epic Route 👟
🚶Distance: Approximately 16 miles
📍Start Time & Location: 10am, Eastbourne Pier, Eastbourne
Description: Embark on the ultimate challenge! This route takes you through diverse landscapes, offering breath taking views and a rewarding experience for seasoned walkers. Prepare for a full-day adventure that will test your endurance and spirit.
👟 Challenger Route 👟
🚶Distance: Approximately 7 miles
📍Start Time & Location: 10:30am, Cooden Beach, Bexhill
Description: Perfect for those who want a shorter distance. This route combines scenic beauty with manageable distance, making it ideal for intermediate walkers seeking an invigorating experience.

No matter which distance you choose, all routes end at Hastings Pier, where we will be waiting to greet you to celebrate your achievements!🏅
Transport
Transportation will be available on a first-come, first-served basis from our Hospice in Northfleet to the starting point of your chosen route. Return transport from Hastings will depart at 6:00 PM, allowing participants some free time to explore if they finish early before heading back to Gravesend. If you prefer, you are welcome to make your own way home at any time.
Prefer to make your own way there? You can park in Hastings and take a train to Eastbourne, which is approximately a 30-minute journey. More information on train times can be found here - https://www.southernrailway.com/journey/hastings-to-eastbourne
Transport from the Hospice can be booked during registration for a fee of £10 per person.
Sponsorship
When you sign up to this event each adult that is registered will automatically have a fundraising page created for them. There is no minimum sponsorship for this event, all we ask is that you raise as much as you can to help us support patients and their families facing life limiting illnesses.
Supporting you: We pride ourselves on giving our participants all the support they need, after all you'll be raising important funds to ensure we can continue to offer our care and support to local families, free of charge.
When taking part in this challenge you can expect to receive:

By signing up to the Walkathon you agree to all of our Terms & Conditions and it is important that you take the time to read these.
- If you are 15 years old or younger, you must be accompanied by a participating supervising adult.
- Child ticket prices are available on the Challenger Route only. Children must be capable of walking the distance.
- The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- To improve the booking experience, we're using a different booking platform. There is a small charge for this, therefore you'll see a small booking fee per ticket.
