A Commitment to Sustainability and Care
The solar installation, which consists of 120 JA Solar Panels with a system size of 52.8kW generating 54,780kWh per year of renewable Energy, will harness the power of the sun to generate renewable energy, significantly reducing the hospice's dependence on non-renewable energy sources. This initiative is aligned with ellenor’s ongoing efforts to reduce operational costs and environmental impact, while continuing to provide compassionate care to patients and their families.
Richard Cromarty, Managing Director of JPS Renewable Energy, commented on the project: "We are thrilled to collaborate with ellenor in bringing sustainable energy solutions to such an important institution in our community. By helping ellenor lower their energy costs, we hope to contribute to their ability to continue delivering exceptional care, while also promoting renewable energy use."
ellenor, which has been providing care since 1985, is equally excited about the partnership.
Since 1985, ellenor has been providing compassionate palliative care, wellbeing services, and end-of-life care for local people living within Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley, and Bexley and is equally excited about this partnership.
Liam Stone, Director of Operations at ellenor Hospice, said:
“As part of our strategic growth for the charity, our ambition is to reduce our carbon footprint by 30% over the next three years. This solar array installation is a game-changer for us. Not only will it help us save on energy costs, but it also reflects our commitment to being environmentally responsible as we continue to care for our patients and their families. We are grateful to JPS Renewable Energy for their expertise and generosity in making this happen.”
