Volunteer Call Handler / Administration Assistant

Location: ellenor Hospice Gravesend

Hours: from 4hrs

Times: 9am – 5pm

Days: Saturdays & Sundays (Hours to be discussed)

Join Our Compassionate Team as a Call Handler / Administration Assistant!

Are you a friendly and organised individual with a passion for helping others? We’re looking for a compassionate Call Handler / Administration Assistant to be the first point of contact for both staff and external callers at our hospice. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key part of a supportive, dedicated team, where your positive attitude and excellent communication skills will make a real difference.

The Role:

Be the welcoming voice for incoming calls, offering support to patients, families and other external callers.
Accurately record messages and ensure they are passed on to the right team members.
Seamlessly transfer calls to the relevant departments, ensuring smooth communication.
Assist with various administrative tasks like printing, scanning, and filing, contributing to the efficient running of the hospice.

About You:

You bring a bright, positive attitude and a friendly, professional telephone manner.
You excel in both written and verbal communication, making sure information is clear and understood.
You’re naturally organised and thrive in a busy environment.
Your listening skills are exceptional, ensuring you’re always responsive to others’ needs.
Basic IT skills? No problem! You’ll be able to navigate our systems with ease.
Above all, you remain calm, approachable, and dedicated to delivering excellent service.
