What is the Sponsored Twilight Walk?

ellenor's Twilight Walk is our biggest fundraising event of the year. It is approx. 8km walk around Gravesend that will take place on Friday 19 September 2025, starting and finishing at St George's Church of England School, Meadow Road, Gravesend! We are excited to be moving to our new location and invite you to join us to make Twilight Walk 2025 Gravesend's best night out!

How do I sign up to ellenor's Twilight Walk?

You can sign up via our website www.ellenor.org/twilight or by calling our supporter care team on 01322 626 509.

Your entry includes a Twilight Walk T-shirt* & a medal at the finish line!

*If you are a regular Twilight Walker and already have your T-shirt we'd love you to reuse it if you can! By reusing your T-shirt not only will you help the environment but will save ellenor around £2,000 in T-shirt costs!

What is the Twilight Bus?

This fully accessible bus kindly provided by FastTrack will travel the route of Twilight Walk, with stops at the Gurdwara and the Hospice, before returning to the start point at St George’s School. It’s a wonderful way for people to take part on wheels, while still being fully included in the evening’s events.

To book a child accessible place please call us on 01474 320 007. Please note : child places are also limited to one carer.

Here are the key details:

  • Departure: 7:00pm from St George’s School
  • Ticket Price: £23.50 per person (same as a standard ticket as you will still receive t-shirt & Medal)
  • Carers: One carer may accompany each passenger free of charge (please note, carers may need to stand if all seats are filled)
  • Capacity: Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance
  • Participation: Bus riders will receive the same t-shirt and medal as those walking and will also be asked to fundraise too!

Please Note : Due to limited space and the area being reserved for wheelchairs, pushchairs / buggies will not be permitted on the bus.

Why do I need to add multiple email addresses on the registration form?

Each adult participant that is registered will automatically have a fundraising page created for them with Enthuse. This will hopefully make it easier for you to get started with your fundraising.

You will need to enter an email address for each person you register.

If you enter the same email address for all participants during the registration process you may receive multiple emails with the same information.

Unfortunately there is no way to turn this off so we recommend that you enter a unique email address for each participant if possible.

When booking child tickets you will also be asked to enter an email address. Please enter a parent / guardian's email address in this section. Children will not automatically have a fundraising page created for them during the registration process.

Can Children take part in Twilight Walk?

Yes, children are able to take part but must be accompanied by a participating adult at all times. Under 3s are free and do not need to purchase a ticket.

When booking your tickets you will only be able to purchase child tickets with an adult ticket (selecting an adult ticket will give you the option to add child tickets). If you need to add any additional children once your booking is complete please call us on 01322 626 509

Where / where can I collect my Twilight Walk T-shirt?

We will be organising a number of T-shirt collections in early September 2025 where you can collect your T-shirt. More information about these dates will be announced in due course.

What time does the event finish?

The event will finish at 22:00. All walkers must be back at St George's C of E School by this time. The site will close at 22:30.

Can I bring my dog?

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome to take part in Twilight Walk but must be capable of walking the distance.

Dogs are not permitted to enter the Gurdwara and will be asked to walk a slightly different route once they reach Trinity Road to bypass the Gurdwara. This route will rejoin the main walk at the next road crossing past the Gurdwara.

Please be aware that there will be lots of noise and people so this event may not be suitable for all dogs.

Is there a minimum fundraising target for this event?

There is no minimum sponsorship for this event, all we ask is that you raise as much as you can to help us support patients and their families facing life limiting illnesses. We'd love to raise £100,000 from this event but we need your help to get there. If each person raises just £100 we can do it!

When you register for Twilight Walk each Adult participant will have their own fundraising page created for them automatically. You will receive details in your welcome email on how to edit & share your page with friends & family.

Will parking be available on the night?

There will be limited parking spaces available at St George's Primary School on the night (Wescott Avenue, Northfleet, DA11 7HP). Once these spaces are full parking will be on local roads.

There will be a drop off / collection point at the Primary School so we advise you to get a lift or car share if you can!

Please Note : There will be NO PARKING at the Secondary School. Meadow Road will be closed and there will be no access to vehicles for the duration of the event.
