ellenor receives £52,000 donation from The Rooney Family Foundation

ellenor has secured a £52,000 donation from Ward’s chairman, Paul Rooney, continuing the longstanding support for children with life limiting illnesses and their families.

The donation is from The Rooney Family Foundation, the charitable trust of Wards Estate Agent Chairman, Paul Rooney. The donation will fund a full time Children’s Clinical Nurse Specialist post for one year at ellenor.  Since 2008, The Rooney Family Foundation and Wards Estate Agents have given financial support to the charity and in that time, awarded over £759,000 to ellenor.

The charity provides clinical nursing support working with children’s families to deliver care at their place of choice, which is often their own home. This means the children can receive care in familiar surroundings.

Director of The Rooney Family Foundation, David Lench, said that “The Rooney Family Foundation have had a strong connection with ellenor for several years, and we look forward to supporting the new role of Children’s Clinical Nurse to better the lives of children across North and West Kent.”

Wards have been helping the community for 100 years, and this year, celebrating their centenary, they continue their efforts in helping people move forwards.
