pain and symptom relief, palliative care, end of life care, respite, bereavement support and emotional and spiritual care.

Without the commitment and professionalism of our staff, we wouldn’t be able to provide the full range of much needed services.

Health Care Assistant - Flexibank

Health Care Assistant – Flexibank

Night Shifts - depending on patient’s family requirements.

£20,374 - £21,312 (depending on experience.)

Hours: Working a 9 hour shift pattern.

 We are looking for Flexibank Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about supporting patients and families overnight in their own home when they are nearing End of Life or having a crisis.  You will support and enable families to cope by giving them some respite overnight. This role will require lone working.

ellenor Hospice is a charity and a specialist palliative care provider for adults and children in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley, and for children across the London Borough of Bexley. The organisation provides the majority of its care in the patients home with a comprehensive Hospice at Home Service, in addition we have an inpatient ward and a range of Wellbeing and Therapeutic services that support patients and families.

You will be required to work a 9 shift pattern, in line with the needs of the family. Successful applicants will be given training around supporting patients receiving end of life care.  

This post is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance.

Music Therapist

Position: Music Therapist

 

Salary scale: £30,419 – £41,290 pro rata, depending on skills and experience

 

Hours: 15 hours per week, flexible to suit your work-life balance

 

ellenor is the provider of all-encompassing hospice care for both adults and children living in North Kent and Bexley.

We are excited to be expanding and developing our Music Therapy Service and are seeking to recruit a Senior Music Therapist to support this.

You will actively support the strategic development of the Music Therapy Service as part of our Counselling & Psychosocial Services department. Supporting and offering high-quality Music Therapy and bereavement support to our clients. 

Provision of Music Therapy sessions to clients of all ages who are under the care of ellenor, including 1:1 sessions and group sessions. This may include Face-to-Face sessions, remote sessions, and in some circumstances will include visiting clients in their homes or at other locations. As such, the ability to travel and access to your own vehicle is essential.

An empathetic and compassionate individual, with a drive to ensure that our Music Therapy Service is more than just a ‘tick box’ service. You will have the passion and dedication to ensure that our Music Therapy Service is the best service it can possibly be, and that each and every one of our clients receives the highest levels of support and service that they deserve.

Based at ellenor Hospice, Coldharbour Road, DA11 7HQ and Manor Hotel, Hever Court Road, Gravesend DA12 5UQ for the duration of the Capital Build project. (Pattern of work negotiable)

We are looking for a Music Therapist to work alongside our current Play Therapists and other Therapeutic staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality specialist therapeutic support to children and their families under the care of ellenor. This includes bereaved children, children with life-limiting conditions and the children of adult patients.

You will be working with patients and carers with highly complex emotional and psychosocial needs, providing therapeutic services via a variety of means, including face-to-face and via virtual means. We believe in providing therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of children and their families.

Reporting to the Operational Lead Counselling and Psychosocial Services, you will develop individualised programmes, with outcome measures that evidence the therapeutic benefit of Music Therapy.

NHS Pension scheme members can transfer in their pension. An enhanced DBS will be arranged.
