We provide hospice care to people of all ages in their place of choice. Our care includes,
pain and symptom relief, palliative care, end of life care, respite, bereavement support and emotional and spiritual care.

Without the commitment and professionalism of our staff, we wouldn’t be able to provide the full range of much needed services.

Music Therapist

Music Therapist

Salary: £27,825 to £31,318 pro rata

(Depending on experience)

ellenor is the provider of all-encompassing hospice care for both adults and children living in North Kent and Bexley.

 An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our growing therapeutic services at ellenor proving specialist palliative care to adults and children across Dartford Gravesham and Swanley, for children this also includes Bexley.

 We are looking for a Music therapist to work alongside our current play therapist and other wellbeing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality specialist therapeutic support to children and their families under the care of ellenor. This includes bereaved children, children with life limiting conditions and Oncology needs as week as the children of adult patients.

You will be working with patients and carers with highly complex emotional and psychosocial needs, providing therapeutic services via a variety of means, including face to face and via virtual means. We believe in providing therapeutic interventions, tailored to the individual needs of children and their families.

Reporting to the Director of Care, you will develop individualised programmes, with outcome measures that evidence the therapeutic benefit of Music Therapy.

You have an Ma/ MSc in Music Therapy and be registered as a Music therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council or British Association for Music therapy BAMT

NHS Pension scheme members can transfer their pension.

An enhanced DBS is required and will be arranged.

Lead IT Support Engineer

Lead IT Support Engineer

Salary: £24,003 - £26,228 (depending on experience)

Hours – 37.5 hrs (flexibility is required)

 

We are looking for an experienced and technically knowledgeable Lead IT Support Engineer to join our IT group.

The role will be responsible for the day-to-day triaging of applicable levels one and two problems and where required the engagement with and managing escalation to third parties to deliver resolution.

Reporting to the IT Manager the role involves liaising and working with ellenor’s IT Multi Services Provider and other third parties as necessary to maintain a robust IT Infrastructure supporting staff, systems, and services across ellenor hospice including the ellenor shops. 

Vendor management will include engagement in regular service and technical account meetings to drive quality of service and process improvements.

The role also requires the need for research and provision of technical advice in support of business solution needs aligned to the IT strategy.

The scope of technical support is not limited to but includes Microsoft Office products, physical and virtualized Microsoft Servers and Desktop computer environments, office and mobile telephone systems, tablet devices, firewalls, network infrastructure, on-premises and cloud-based backup solutions, audit reporting, data life-cycle management, Internet Service Provider and other data communications, multi-functional devices, asset inventories management, security and device end point management.

Working hours of the role may on occasion need to be flexible to support any urgent issues or project delivery needs.

Fundraising Assistant (Events)

Fundraising Assistant (Events)

Salary: £19,132 Per Annum (pro rata)

Hours: Up to 26.25 hours per week

 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about planning and delivering great events! 

As part of our fantastic Fundraising Team, you will be involved with arranging various events such as sporting challenges and summer fetes and. These events bring the local community together and help to generate income so that ellenor can help families facing life limiting illnesses.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience from a similar role, or perhaps you’ve been a member of a PTA/group/club or studied Event Management and are looking for your first role or been responsible for planning activities. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Adviser to join our small HR team in Gravesend, Kent to provide a comprehensive, effective and efficient generalist Human Resource service to the organisation.

ellenor Hospice is a charity and a specialist palliative care provider for adults and children in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley, and for children across West Kent and the London Borough of Bexley.  The organisation has in-patient and outpatient and Living services at Northfleet, comprehensive Hospice at Home services and a range of out-patient and community services all supported and delivered through a multi-disciplinary team.

The Job:

We are ideally looking for a CIPD qualified with experience of providing generalist HR advice including law advice.  The role will work closely with senior functional heads and managers to support the delivery of recruitment and talent-management plans, department changes and the development of services, employee relations casework, contracts and benefits and monthly payroll changes and sickness absence management.  You should be self-motivated but also able to motivate others. You should be highly organised with excellent communication and IT skills.  You will be responsible for the supervising of the administrative function of the HR administrators.

About you:

You must have a proven background as a generalist HR Adviser at a similar level, excellent written and verbal communication, demonstrating warmth and empathy and attention to detail is a must.  You should have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and work well under pressure.  You should have a flexible attitude and be a team player.

The position is for 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday, but flexibility is required to work out of hours occasionally.

We offer an employer contributory pension scheme, and if you are a member of the NHS Pension Scheme, you can transfer in your pension, subject to their conditions.  You will be entitled to 27 days holiday plus bank holidays rising with service.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Project Manager, with facility management, civil or general buildings experience to oversee the operational implementation of our Capital Build Project.

The role will have day to day accountability for the project and act as a primary point of contact for project teams as well as managing key stakeholder relationships.

You will work closely with internal and external Capital Build teams to ensure that the Capital Build is effectively managed and delivered, drawing on technical expertise from your own experience and liaising with external Project Management teams and with Construction teams as and when required.

You will create and update internal project plans, monitoring an ensuring project progress remains on track, within timeline, requirements, and budget. Ensuring completion of project milestones and tasks.

Working effectively across the whole Organisation you will ensure that stakeholders are effectively engaged and updated with regards the Capital Build, and the impact on services is appropriately minimised, agreed and communicated.

We are currently recruiting for a Children’s Clinical Nurse Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Children’s Team.  

The core purpose of this role will be to ensure the provision of high-quality care for children, young people and their families.

As part of this role you will have responsibility for a caseload of children with life limiting conditions or Oncology needs, including treatment and end of life care. Be required to provide a high standard of individulised care, including advice and guidance in symptom management. Work as part of a Multidisciplinary Team to support children and young people to have the best possible quality of life ensuring all care is provided in accordance with the wishes of their family.
