ellenor is a hospice charity in Gravesend providing palliative and end-of-life care within the local community. At ellenor, we value inclusivity and focus on providing high-quality services with compassion and care.

We have a fantastic opportunity for business professionals to join ellenor at the Board level to influence our strategic direction and support our developments. We are seeking individuals who have experience and expertise in the following sectors Health and Social Care, Marketing & Income Generation, Senior Level Management, AI, IT, Finance, Accounting, Property, Legal, Retail, HR and Governance.

As a Trustee, you will be responsible for the governance and strategy of ellenor, its financial health and the probity of its activities under ellenor’s Articles of Association.

Whether you are an experienced Trustee or want to take your first step at Board level, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Flexibank Staff Nurse

Salary: £14.66- £16.02 per hour (depending upon experience)

Location: ellenor Hospice, Gravesend, DA11 7HQ

Hours: Hours offered as per department needs

We could have the opportunity you have been looking for, with hours available in both the Adult community service and our Inpatient ward.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensure the highest possible standard of care for patients and supporting relatives during their care
  • Participating in the assessment and provision of care needs for patients
  • Ensuring all care is documented correctly electronically, in line with mandatory and legal requirements
  • Delivering care as part of a team alongside our medical team

Essential requirements of the role include:

  • Registered Nurse with up-to-date registration and revalidation
  • Flexible approach to working hours, times and days of the week, including night shifts and weekends
  • Willing to undertake further professional training/qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (Adult Community)

Salary: £40,443

Hours:  37.5 hours per week

(occasional working outside of normal working hours)

Location: Gravesend DA11 7HQ

ellenor is a charity and a specialist palliative care provider for adults and children in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley, and for children across the London Borough of Bexley.  The Organisation has In-patient, Community, Wellbeing and therapeutic services at Northfleet.

Are you a passionate and driven leader looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real impact? We’re seeking a dedicated Head of Fundraising to play a key role in our dynamic Income Generation team.

As a key leader in this role, you’ll develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies, engaging individual donors while strengthening relationships with current and prospective supporters. Your work will ensure donors feel valued and appreciated, helping to drive our mission forward.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Set and deliver a clear strategy to grow the active donor base and maximise long-term sustainable income from all individual giving income streams. Implement a strong multi-channel direct marketing fundraising programme to achieve this.
  • Include setting realistic forecast models and targets to achieve desired outcomes.
  • To be responsible for developing an effective integrated communications programme for cash donors and regular givers.
  • Utilise audience segmentation and database insights to extract, analyse and segment data. Implementing clear strategies and supporter journeys that drive growth in target audiences, income and lifetime value.
  • Provide strong leadership to the team to achieve targets. Lead and own effective reporting using internal and external benchmarks by setting clear, measurable KPIs driven by data and insight.

 Essential Requirements:

  • Proven success in Individual Giving fundraising, with experience in acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Extensive experience in direct marketing and income generation across various media, driving growth in donors and income streams (retention, cash, in-mem, lottery, legacy).
  • Strong track record in securing income through lottery schemes, including managing canvassing agencies, Gift Aid, and gambling compliance.
  • Data-driven, experienced in setting and reporting on KPIs to drive results.
  • Effective leader within both their team and the wider organisation.

Salary: £26,761 pro rata

Location: ellenor (Northfleet)/Swanscombe

Hours:  30 hours per week (Working Monday to Friday, 9.30 am to 3.30 pm)

Our Fundraising Events Team is at the heart of ellenor, creating exceptional experiences that inspire supporters to go the extra mile, literally! As part of a friendly, successful, and growing team, you’ll play a vital role in raising the funds needed to care for local families facing life-limiting illnesses.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Marketing, Fundraising, and Care Teams to maximise event success
  • Monitor and evaluate event performance, using insights to inform future planning and growth

 Essential requirements of the role include:

  •  Previous experience in delivering fundraising or public events
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate supporters
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends for events
  • Confidence in using databases, online platforms, and Microsoft Office applications
