Shop Manager (Rochester)

                            Salary: £ 18,162.86 - £18,992.51 (Depending on Experience)

Hours: 30 hours per week

Monday to Sunday working 4 out of 7 days per week.

Location: Rochester, ME1 1LD

 

Do you have great customer service, a friendly and approachable manner and retail experience? If so, we are looking for someone just like you!

As a Manager, you will have a background in retail and be able to prioritise a changing workload. You will work with a team of volunteers to achieve targets.

ellenor is a hospice charity in Gravesend providing palliative and end-of-life care within the local community. At ellenor we value inclusivity and focus on providing high-quality services with compassion and care.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  1. Maintaining high levels of standards within the store.
  2. Sorting donations, pricing and displaying products.
  3. Cash handling, and banking duties.
  4. Managing volunteers, staff, and daily tasks.
  5. Training staff and volunteers on correct procedures.
  6. Supporting other sites and events as required.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience managing a team and staff in a retail background.
  • Previous keyholder responsibilities
  • Cash management experience.

Community Fundraising Officer

Community Fundraising Officer

Salary:25,959

Location: Swanscombe (DA10 0AB) whilst we undergo a build project at our Hospice (DA11 7HQ) 

Hours: 30 - 37.5 hours per week, flexible & hybrid working available.

Some evenings, and weekends as necessary for events with time off in lieu.

Children's Care Assistant

Children’s Care Assistant  

Salary: £22,368

Hours: 22.5 per week

                            (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday – 7.5 hours a day between 8:30 am to 18:30 pm)

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing 1:1 or 2:1 care to individual children and young people with life-limiting / life-threatening conditions in their own homes or other community settings. 
  • Planning and delivering group activities and social events for children and young people aged 0 to 19.
  • Working in partnership with the child and family sensitively and professionally, to ensure that the child's emotional, social, and physical needs are met in a way which enhances their quality of life.
  • Undertaking a range of duties to support the personal care needs of the child / young person.
  • Full training and support to meet any complex healthcare needs and the opportunity for further professional development are provided.

Essential Criteria:

  • Level 3 NVQ Health & Social Care or equivalent or willing to undertake.
  • Experience of working with children and young people
  • Understand the concept of confidentiality.
  • Experience in undertaking basic personal care tasks.
  • Be able to undertake physical work e.g. moving and handling and use specialist equipment when trained to do so.
  • Full UK Driving License.
