We provide hospice care to people of all ages in their place of choice. Our care includes,
pain and symptom relief, palliative care, end of life care, respite, bereavement support and emotional and spiritual care.

Without the commitment and professionalism of our staff, we wouldn’t be able to provide the full range of much needed services.

ellenor is the provider of all-encompassing hospice care for both adults and children living in North Kent and Bexley.

Our services for adults include Inpatient ward, Living Well programme, Hospice at Home, Care Home Support Team and range of Wellbeing services, including Therapies. For children in Dartford Gravesham and Swanley we provide clinical nursing support working with children’s families to provide care at their place of choice, which is often their own home. This means the children can receive care in familiar surroundings. In addition for Children in Dartford Gravesham Swanley and Bexley we provide respite and wellbeing services which include, Play therapy, Music Therapy, Counselling, Bereavement support to mention just a few. 

Our strategic aims recognise our role in leading the development of services to the wider community for patients with life limiting conditions for both palliative care and at the end of life, and we see an increasing role in education and training and as a coordinator for providing the best possible palliative care to more people and families.

An exciting opportunity for experienced and motivated doctors to join our Consultant led multidisciplinary team. We are looking for experienced doctors capable of delivering high quality patient care to our adult patients with full GMC registration, 4 years full time postgraduate training including at least 2 years in a relevant speciality. You will need to be enthusiastic about delivering the highest quality palliative care, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a flexible adaptable approach. Involvement in teaching and audit / research is required, along with participation in the on-call and weekend rota.

Support with professional development will be provided as appropriate, as well as regular clinical supervision.

Catering Assistant

Hours: 16 hours per week

Saturday and Sunday 8am - 2pm and one other day as required 8am-12 noon

 Salary:  £8.91 per hour

 (enhanced rate of pay for weekend working)   

 

This is an exciting time to join an outstanding and much valued charity and help us achieve our vision. We are looking for an experienced Catering Assistant to join the hospice, you will be part of a skilled catering team, operating 365 days, to provide a high quality service to patients, staff and visitors.

Good wholesome food is fundamental to providing end-of-life care, and we are looking for an applicant with the passion and drive to deliver a catering service of the highest standard.

Your duties will include food preparation, cooking, cleaning, liaising with customers, staff and most importantly with patients directly regarding their meal requirements. You will also assist in preparing meals and snacks for our in-house café, you will have the opportunity to help develop new menu options that accommodate the requirements of the diverse community we serve.

You should be qualified to City & Guilds levels (706/1) and (706/2) or hold a level 2 diploma in professional cookery, have a “can do attitude”, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work alone when required but also as part of a busy team.

Supporter Care Team Leader

Post: Supporter Care Team Leader

Salary: £24,000

Hours: 37.5

Based at ellenor hospice, Coldharbour Road DA11 7HQ

 

We are looking for a motivated team leader with experience in supporter care or customer service.

Leading a team of two Supporter Care Officers, you will ensure our processes are followed so that ultimately, we can provide the very best supporter journeys for the people that make our work possible.

You will have a methodical approach to your team’s tasks, celebrating successes and spotting inconsistencies. You’ll have a great balance of a love of data and attention to detail, coupled with an empathetic and encouraging nature – as your team will often be the first port of call for fundraising enquiries from our supporters.

As a problem solver, you’ll spot where we can improve and streamline processes, and you will be able to forward plan your team’s activities and priorities in line with our strategy and focus. Based at our Hospice in Gravesend in a busy and friendly office, you’ll be working closely with our wider Fundraising team.

The Supporter Care Team Leader is a key role within the Fundraising department focussing on these areas;

  1. Managing the day-to-day work of the Supporter Care team, including managing agreed SLA’s.
  2. Ensuring all data entry is audited on an ongoing basis to maintain data integrity by achieving a high level of attention to detail.
  3. Assisting the Database and Insight Manager with projects involving Supporter Care and be the team representative on some cross functional projects.
  4. Develop and nurture a fundraising culture with the Supporter Care team, spotting engagement and retention opportunities when talking to supporters.

Individual Giving Manager

C. £34,222 per annum

37.5 hours per week  

 

 

We are recruiting for an exceptional and experienced fundraiser to lead our Individual Giving Program which includes our lottery, cash appeals, regular gifts, in memoriam and legacies.

The postholder’s portfolio raises approximately £1.35 million each year and with support from your team, you will aim to increase this income to £1.5 million over the next three years.  You will devise and implement strategies to build an annual, multi-channel campaign schedule that includes a variety of acquisition, development and retention activity to achieve the annual income target.

Working closely with our Database and Insights Manager, you’ll be driven to continually test and learn from our activities and campaigns - ensuring our supporters continually feel inspired and engaged.

You’ll have a keen grip on your budgets and be skilled in lottery play acquisition, promotion and retention, running a regular giving programme, and have a creative flair to bring our stories to life in engaging appeals.
