We provide hospice care to people of all ages in their place of choice. Our care includes,
pain and symptom relief, palliative care, end of life care, respite, bereavement support and emotional and spiritual care.
Without the commitment and professionalism of our staff, we wouldn’t be able to provide the full range of much needed services.

ellenor is the provider of all-encompassing hospice care for both adults and children living in North Kent and Bexley.

Our services for adults include Inpatient ward, Living Well programme, Hospice at Home, Care Home Support Team and range of Wellbeing services, including Therapies. For children in Dartford Gravesham and Swanley we provide clinical nursing support working with children’s families to provide care at their place of choice, which is often their own home. This means the children can receive care in familiar surroundings. In addition for Children in Dartford Gravesham Swanley and Bexley we provide respite and wellbeing services which include, Play therapy, Music Therapy, Counselling, Bereavement support to mention just a few. 

Our strategic aims recognise our role in leading the development of services to the wider community for patients with life limiting conditions for both palliative care and at the end of life, and we see an increasing role in education and training and as a coordinator for providing the best possible palliative care to more people and families.

An exciting opportunity for experienced and motivated doctors to join our Consultant led multidisciplinary team. We are looking for experienced doctors capable of delivering high quality patient care to our adult patients with full GMC registration, 4 years full time postgraduate training including at least 2 years in a relevant speciality. You will need to be enthusiastic about delivering the highest quality palliative care, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a flexible adaptable approach. Involvement in teaching and audit / research is required, along with participation in the on-call and weekend rota.

Support with professional development will be provided as appropriate, as well as regular clinical supervision.

NHS Pension scheme members can transfer in their pension.

Senior Physiotherapist

Salary: £34,939 to £39,324 (pro rata and depending on experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Respite Children’s Care Assistant

 Full and part time hours available.

Starting salary £17,422 per annum (depending on qualifications & experience)

 

ellenor is a specialist palliative care provider for adults and children in Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and  Bexley. We have an in-patient and outpatient and living services at Northfleet, comprehensive Hospice at Home services and a range of out-patient and community services all supported and delivered through a multi-disciplinary team. The Children’s Service provides specialist nursing support as well as hands-on nursing care  and short breaks to children with cancer or palliative care needs in their own homes. The medical support for the Children’s team is provided by the children’s GP and the Consultants at the Tertiary centers in London.  Our mission is to lead and coordinate the best personalised care for all ages, sharing our expertise to ensure that all families facing life-limiting illness get the right support in the best place possible, enabling them to make the most of the time they have.

We are currently recruiting Children’s care assistants. Permanent and flexibank opportunities are available.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Children’s Service providing respite care to children and young people in their own homes. The children and young people we work with are aged 0-19 and have life limiting or life-threatening conditions.

We provide 1:1 care for children in their own homes, as well as a range of group activities for children and families. The needs of the children and families vary greatly and you will be required to demonstrate understanding and sensitivity to the complex emotional and physical needs of the children and be able to work flexibly to support these needs in a variety of settings, often working independently. A caring attitude towards children and their families and a willingness to work evenings and weekends is essential. A qualification in childcare and/or experience with complex needs would be desirable. Training and development opportunities are  provided.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 6:30-12:30

 Salary:  £8.91 per hour   

 

ellenor is looking for an experienced housekeeper to join the hospice you will be part of a hardworking team providing a high-quality service to our patients, staff and visitors, 365 days a year.

Are you enthusiastic, reliable, a great team worker, full of energy, caring and compassionate and have a flexible approach to your working life?

As a member of the team your duties will vary from cleaning in a clinical environment, public spaces, offices, and our Hospice laundry, whilst maintaining a very high standard and following Hospice guidelines and policies.

The successful candidate must have relevant cleaning experience, be able to work unsupervised, have great organisational skills, be able to work to specific time-frames, and be able to prioritise and have very good attention to detail.

This role is often very physically demanding, so having enthusiastic hard-working ethic coupled with a flexible approach to your work is essential.

Some flexibility is also required for team annual leave cover.

Individual Giving Manager

Individual Giving Manager

C. £34,222 per annum

37.5 hours per week  

 

 

We are recruiting for an exceptional and experienced fundraiser to lead our Individual Giving Program which includes our lottery, cash appeals, regular gifts, in memoriam and legacies.

The postholder’s portfolio raises approximately £1.35 million each year and with support from your team, you will aim to increase this income to £1.5 million over the next three years.  You will devise and implement strategies to build an annual, multi-channel campaign schedule that includes a variety of acquisition, development and retention activity to achieve the annual income target.

Working closely with our Database and Insights Manager, you’ll be driven to continually test and learn from our activities and campaigns - ensuring our supporters continually feel inspired and engaged.

You’ll have a keen grip on your budgets and be skilled in lottery play acquisition, promotion and retention, running a regular giving programme, and have a creative flair to bring our stories to life in engaging appeals.
