pain and symptom relief, palliative care, end of life care, respite, bereavement support and emotional and spiritual care.
Without the commitment and professionalism of our staff, we wouldn’t be able to provide the full range of much needed services.

Salary: £27,826 -£34,222 (Dependent on experience)

ellenor is a specialist palliative care provider for adults and children in the North of West Kent, and for children in the London Borough of Bexley and South West Kent. The organisation has in-patient and day therapy facilities at Gravesend, a comprehensive

Hospice at Home service for children and adults and a range of outpatient and community services, all supported and delivered through a multi-disciplinary team approach and we are looking for a Paediatric Nurse to join our flexibank.

ellenor is the provider of all-encompassing hospice care for both adults and children living in North Kent and Bexley.

Our services for adults include Inpatient ward, Living Well programme, Hospice at Home, Care Home Support Team and range of Wellbeing services, including Therapies. For children in Dartford Gravesham and Swanley we provide clinical nursing support working with children’s families to provide care at their place of choice, which is often their own home. This means the children can receive care in familiar surroundings. In addition for Children in Dartford Gravesham Swanley and Bexley we provide respite and wellbeing services which include, Play therapy, Music Therapy, Counselling, Bereavement support to mention just a few. 

Our strategic aims recognise our role in leading the development of services to the wider community for patients with life limiting conditions for both palliative care and at the end of life, and we see an increasing role in education and training and as a coordinator for providing the best possible palliative care to more people and families.

An exciting opportunity for experienced and motivated doctors to join our Consultant led multidisciplinary team. We are looking for experienced doctors capable of delivering high quality patient care to our adult patients with full GMC registration, 4 years full time postgraduate training including at least 2 years in a relevant speciality. You will need to be enthusiastic about delivering the highest quality palliative care, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a flexible adaptable approach. Involvement in teaching and audit / research is required, along with participation in the on-call and weekend rota.

Support with professional development will be provided as appropriate, as well as regular clinical supervision.

NHS Pension scheme members can transfer in their pension.

Catering Assistant

Hours: 12 hours per week

Saturday and Sunday 8am-2pm

 Salary:  £8.91 per hour   

 

This is an exciting time to join an outstanding and much valued charity and help us achieve our vision.

ellenor is looking for an experienced cook/kitchen assistant to join the hospice you will be part of a skilled catering team, operating 365 day per year high quality service to our patients, staff and visitors.

Good wholesome food is fundamental to providing quality end-of-life care, and we are looking for an applicant with the passion and drive to deliver a catering service of the very highest standards.

Duties will include food preparation, cooking, cleaning, liaising with customers, staff and most importantly with patients directly regarding meal requirements. You will also assist in preparing meals & snacks for our in-house café, with the opportunity to help develop new menu options that accommodate the requirements of a diverse population.

You should have a “can do attitude”, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work alone but also as part of a busy team.

You must be flexible as you may be asked to work during the week depending on operational needs.

The post is subject to DBS clearance.
