Who's the course for?
Students aged 17-19 who are interested in exploring a career in care.

Cost:  Free

Course Description
A valuable certified work experience with an opportunity to work as a ward volunteer one evening a week. Training will be provided covering Statutory and Mandatory topics prior to the placement. You will work alongside ward staff, completing a workbook of competencies, leading to achieving a Care Certificate.

Students need to be able to attend an interview prior to the start of the placement plus one Saturday training day and commit to work one evening a week for six months in either of the placement blocks.
